Europeans for Safe Connections, a coalition of European organizations and citizens working on safer connectivity, has submitted feedback through the European Commission's "Have your say" consultation on the Union position for the ITU World Radiocommunication Conference 2027, held 18 October to 12 November 2027. The group calls on the EU to apply the precautionary principle when negotiating new spectrum allocations, to assess the cumulative RF-EMF exposure impact of the agenda items on spectrum densification, and to evaluate direct-to-device satellite systems together with terrestrial infrastructure rather than in isolation.

"This initiative will propose a common position to guide EU Member States when negotiating on the EU’s behalf at the World Radiocommunication Conference 2027, organised by the ITU from 18 October to 12 November 2027."

— European Commission initiative description, cited by Europeans for Safe Connections

"The EU position should apply the Precautionary Principle when negotiating new spectrum allocations and emerging communication technologies."

— Europeans for Safe Connections

"The introduction of Direct-to-Device (D2D) satellite systems should not be assessed in isolation from terrestrial telecommunications infrastructure."
