A population-based survey across Germany, Sweden, and Finland finds that about 10% of Germans report sensitivity to electromagnetic fields, compared to about 5% in Nordic countries. The study highlights significant variations between countries and the impact of assessment criteria on prevalence rates.

"In the German sample, about 25% of participants reported mild reactions to sounds, chemicals, and buildings, and about 10% to electromagnetic fields (EMFs) and wind turbines, with a similar pattern for strong reactions, but with proportions of 1-2%."
